Sacred Dancing Cascades
In Glacier National Park

Observing Platform at Sacred Dancing Falls

“Sacred Dancing Cascades” a series of waterfalls and rapids along McDonald Creek.
Located about 2.5 miles north of Lake McDonald Lodge.

The cascades can be accessed by trail ( via the John's Lake loop trail) or by car. The trail is used by a stable for trail rides...you get the idea. For over a mile you walk the same trail as the horses, until finally the trail to the cascades branches off.

Viewing the smooth rock layers of Sacred Dancing Cascade, makes you realize what an incredible force water had when tumbling for years and years over these rocks.
